BAGGING: WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
Bagging refers to the process used to package loose products in bags or big-bags for easy handling, storage and transport in view of sale. It involves the use of automated and semi-automated bagging machines that can, depending on the technology used, design the bags, dispense materials, fill containers, and label efficiently and precisely in order to comply with regulatory restrictions.
Our bagging solutions are frequently used in a number of industrial sectors, such as crop support manufacturing, organic fertilizers, chemical products, building materials, etc.
Bagging technologies exist and are adapted to specific needs in terms of volume, product type, production speed and application:
- Vertical bag bagging: to fill bags of different sizes. In its automatic version, bags are automatically shaped from a flat roll of film, with no machine operator. In a semi-automatic version pre-shaped bags are used, and a machine operator is present.
- Big bag bagging: this technology has been designed to fill big bags, also called ”bulk bags” or ”flexible containers”. These bagging machines are designed to handle and fill large-sized bags. They are used to reduce the quantity of packing materials for applications that require a large volume of materials.
Volume Dispenser: consists of measuring the quantity of material according to its volume as opposed to its weight. Volume dispensers are adapted to the type of product to be dispensed and are equipped with electronic sensors to pilot the dispenser and control the volume to be put into each bag.
Weight Dispenser: consists of measuring the quantity of material according to its weight. Unlike volume dispensing, weight dispensing uses a weighing system to dispense a specific quantity or material according to its mass. Different types of wight dispenser are used according to the nature of the product in question: band weight dispenser, screw weight dispenser, skip, etc.
