Construction waste
CONSTRUCTION WASTE: WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
This waste is produced and sorted by professionals in the building trade during construction or de-construction. There are various kinds, which can be either separated according to type or mixed.
Waste treatment or building operators that deal with sorting and recovering construction waste use it to produce standardized materials (that meet precise specifications) which might be:
- Either recycled or used instead of extracting new materials from nature (aggregates for back form, subgrades for road structures, virgin resins from oil for plastics, minerals for steel and aluminium…).
- Recovered in the form of fuel used to produce steam to power industry, urban heat networks, or to create electricity. It can also be used to produce more specific types of fuel (high heat value, controlled rates of non-biogenic carbon…) used by industries with very high energy use (cement works, steelworks…).
Regardless of the way in which it is recovered, the challenges for and objectives of waste and building sorting and recovery operators are to maximize recovery while optimizing cost, guarantee good working conditions, and protect the environment.
To achieve that, they expect the solutions that we offer to provide:
- a maximum collection rate,
- a controlled and optimized product flow (purity rate),
- the robustness, in terms of equipment, to deal with the aggressive nature of the waste to be sorted (heavy, large, blunt, and dusty objects…),
- maximum availability in order to guarantee continuous processing of waste as it is produced, and a constant supply to recycling plants and fuel-using industries,
- considered ergonomics in order to guarantee good working conditions (working position, exposure to noise and dust, accessibility for maintenance…),
- minimum environmental impact (noise emissions, electricity use, dust emissions, local supply and manufacture…).
A (REY) SOLUTION FOR EVERYTHING !
Construction Waste requires equipment and processes for sorting that are particularly robust and resistant enough to meet its specific demands (heavy, large objects, abrasive dust …).
The industrial solutions offered by REY Solutions meet the 6 following objectives:
- Maximizing collection rates,
- Controlling and optimizing product flow (purity rate),
- Flexibility in dealing with the variability and the heterogeneity of the waste to be sorted,
- Maximum availability,
- Ergonomics, taking into account individual working conditions,
- Minimising environmental impact (noise emissions, electricity use, dust emissions, local supply and manufacture…).
Designed and manufactured by us; we take into account the specific requirements associated with sorting this type of waste (INRS directive ED 948,…), the individual demands of our customers, and feedback garnered from the sectors of activity in which we have been present for the last 35 years,
Sizing based on cross analysis, carried out with the customer, of the flows to be processed and produced and our detailed knowledge of waste and secondary raw materials,
Made in France with materials sourced in France wherever possible, in a factory equipped with solar panels that produce more electricity than we actually use. Manufactured locally, we practise responsible production to reduce our environmental impact, and guarantee the continuity of supplies and services essential for activities in which there is no break in continuity,
Integrating innovative technologies developed in-house and/or with our preferred partners (feed hopper, reinforced conveyer belts and trommel screens, vibrating screens, sorting robots…).
