Processing residues

PROCESSING RESIDUES: WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

These are the solid residues that remain at the bottom of the furnace after the incineration of non-hazardous waste and consist mainly of fire-proof materials contained in that waste. These are grey-coloured granules, a mix of metals, glass, silicon, alumina, limescale, lime, unburned materials, and water.

When it comes out of the incinerator it is sent to a Maturation and Treatment Plant (MTP) where it undergoes treatment to extract ferrous and non-ferrous metals and render the inert residue suitable for use.

After the metals and large pieces of unburnt waste have been removed in the MTP, the remaining material is transformed into a gravel-like substance.

This gravel-like substance, on condition that it complies with legal provisions, is used in road-building as an alternative to gravel taken from natural sources.

Regardless of how it is re-used, the challenges and objectives facing waste sorting and recovery operators in construction revolve around maximising re-use while optimising cost, guaranteeing good working conditions, and environmental protection.

To achieve that, they expect our solutions to help them:

  • Maximise re-use,
  • Optimise costs,
  • Guarantee good working conditions,
  • Protect the environment.

A (REY) SOLUTION FOR EVERYTHING !

The industrial solutions offered by REY SOLUTIONS meet the following objectives:

  • Maximizing collection rates,
  • Controlling and optimizing product flow (purity rate),
  • Maximum availability,
  • Staying power, with high resistance to abrasion and corrosion,
  • Ergonomics, taking into account individual working conditions,
  • Minimising environmental impact (noise emissions, electricity use, local supply and manufacture…).

REY SOLUTIONS offers solutions (equipment or full process):

  • Designed and manufactured by us, taking into account the requirements specific to sorting this type of waste (hot-dip galvanising anti-corrosion treatment in accordance with ISO 146, INRS directive ED 6098 for sorting stations, abrasion resistance, designed to process high volumes and avoid clogging issues… ), our customers’ individual requests, and feedback garnered from our 35 years’ experience,
  • Sized using a cross-analysis, performed with our customer, of their flows and our detailed knowledge of waste and secondary raw materials,
  • Made in France with a maximum of French-made materials, in a factory equipped with solar panels that produce more electricity than we actually use,
  • Integrating innovative technologies developed in-house and/or with our partners (vibrating screens, anti-clogging systems…).
